 An abductee tortured to death after in one of the Houthi-run prisons in Yemen's al-Baidha governorate, three years after he was kidnapped.

Matloub Moussa Mohammed al-Faqeer (25yr) died under torture at the detention centre of the political security in al-Baidha, sources close to the victim's family told the press.

The Human rights reports states that Iranian-backed Houthis were also responsible for the disappearance of more than 3,500 Yemenis that include 64 children, 15 women, and 72 elderly people. It also highlighted 455 torture to death cases in the Houthi prisons.

According to a report by the Yemeni Coalition for Monitoring Human Rights Violations (Rasd Coalition), Houthis have arrested 3,544 people across Yemen between September, 2014 and December 2018.
