Member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki highly commended Saudi efforts to ensure success of Jeddah dialogue.
Al-Awlaki said in a tweet that "the statements by His Excellency the Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Al Jubeir confirm the Kingdom's unlimited support for achieving political agreement between the Southern Transition Council (STC) and the Yemeni legitimacy."
He added "Al Jubeir's statements also block the road to any follies committed to hinder an agreement sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques."
Al-Awlaki concluded his tweet by saying "All appreciation for the Kingdom and its leadership."
It's worth mentioning that
Al Jubeir told the
Liberation newspaper in an interview in Paris on Thursday "We are trying to reach peace between the Southern Transition Council (STC) and the Hadi government. I think we are close."
The Saudi minister is in Paris for talks with French officials amid efforts to defuse US-Iranian tensions and help Yemen's government and the STC end a standoff in the southern port of Aden.
Saudi Arabia has hosted indirect talks between them to rebuild the coalition fighting against the Houthi movement that expelled Hadi’s government from the capital Sanaa five years ago.
