Over twenty Houthis were killed and several others were seriously injured on Friday, in a powerful explosion in a weapons storage depot in Yemen's port city of Hodeidah.
The joint forces reported that the explosion occurred in a residential building which had been transformed by the Iran-backed Houthi putschist militants into an arms and ammunition depot in one of the neighborhoods under their control in the Khamsein Street. The blast caused a state of fear and panic among the inhabitants, mostly women and children, throughout the city.
A few days ago, a similar explosion rocked a residential neighborhood in Hays district in the south of Hodeidah, killing at least three Houthis and seven others were seriously injured, in addition to totally destroying a house that used as a weapons cache along with three other neighboring houses.
