Yemeni President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi issued on Wednesday night a series of decisions, including appointments, described by observers as catastrophic.

He appointed Ahmed Salem Rabee as the new governor of Aden, in a move to prevent the return of the resigned governor of Aden Abdulaziz Al-Muflahi that domestic and international efforts have been exerted to persuade him to reconsider his decision.

The same decision also included the appointment of Mohamed Nasr Abdulrahman Shadli as First Undersecretary of Aden Governorate.

The Republican Decree No. 71 of this year appoints Mohammed al-Maqdishi as minister of defence who is accused of corruption and selling the Arab Coalition weapons to the pro-Iran Houthi coupist militia. Hadi also in the same resolution appointed Abdullah Al-Nakhi as new Chief of Staff.

The presidential decree no. (182) stipulated the appointment of Major General, Taher Ali Aydha Al-Aqili as Advisor to the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, despite the victories achieved by the Yemeni army forces in his reign, in contrast to the weakness that prevailed under a-lMaqdeshi command.
