Fierce battles continued for the second day in a row between the joint forces, headed by Al Amalikah Brigades and the Iran-backed Houthi coupist militia near the southern and eastern neighborhoods of Hodeida on the western coast of Yemen with heavy air support from Coalition aircraft.

Military field sources confirmed that the pro-government troops advanced in the southern side of the city and managed to take control of the university of Hodeida as Houthis escaped towards the inner neighborhoods of the city.

The same sources reported that violent fighting with various weapons erupted in the eastern side, near Kilo 16 area, where the Air Defense Camp became under the control of the jiont forces.

Concurrently, the Coalition fighter jets carried out a series of raids targeting Houthi gatherings and military vehicles in al-Khamseen street and several neighborhoods on the northern outskirts of the city to pave the way for the joint forces to advance to the north and surround the city.
