Former Yemeni vice president and prime minister, Khaled Mahfouz Bahah met in Riyadh on Thursday, with the US ambassador to Yemen, Christopher Henzel.

The meeting focused on the Yemeni crisis and the need to push forward the peace process in conformity with firm and correct norms

Bahah stressed the need to implement practical steps in support of the peace option, in the first place, correcting the path of the legitimacy and its return to exercise its functions from inside the country and finding out serious non-traditional solutions to national issues, in particular the southern issue, in addition to putting an end to the Houthi coup.

Bahah said that the exerted efforts of the Arab Coalition and the United States are undoubtedly appreciated, but exercising pressure on the obstructors of the peace process at home and abroad is an important matter.

Establishing peace will be beneficial not only to Yemen, but to the stability of the whole region, Bahah added.

It's worth mentioning that Bahah and Henzel has recently met in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and discussed issues related to the Yemeni crisis.
