Two journalists were abducted in Shabwa province on Thursday, by Islah militia, Yemen's military wing of Muslim Brotherhood, local media outlets said.

The same sources reported that the head of Information Department of the Southern Transitional Council in Shabwa and the reporter of Al Ghad AL Mushreq satellite channel, Jamal Shiniter were abducted by Islah gunmen at a checkpoint in Azzan of Shabwa province, adding that the two men were taken to an unknown destination.

In a statement, Al-Ghad AL-Mushreq warned against the consequences of harming Jamal Shiniter and called for the speedy release of the journalist.

The TV channel also affirmed that such practices by the Islah party can never discourage it from continuing to carry out its mission.

It's worth mentioning that Islah gunmen kidnapped and assaulted a journalist called Saleh Missawa last week in Shabwa.
