 Southern Community in the United States and Canada staged a demonstration on Saturday, in front of the United Nations building in New York in conjunction with the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly.

The demonstrators raised the national flags of the South, flags of the Arab Coalition countries, portraits the president of the Southern Transitional Council, commander Aidroos Qassem al-Zubaidi and the leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates.

The banners, placards and slogans reflected the demand of the southern people to restore their full independent sovereign state that existed before the unification with the Yemen Arab Republic on May 22, 1990.

The demonstrators expressed in a statement their solidarity with the STC leadership, the southern armed forces and the Arab Coalition led by Saudi Arabia and UAE and its role in the fight against the Iranian project and terrorism.

They demonstration displayed full support for the Egyptian leadership and people in face of the conspiracies machinated against them by Muslim Brotherhood.

They condemned the terrorist attacks of the Iranian regime and their arms in Yemen against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

They denounced the biased media campaigns against the United Arab Emirates to distort its bright image.

The statement demanded the United States and Canada to provide the southern forces with comprehensive support in their fight against terror and Iranian threats and for securing the international shipping lines.

They demanded the Arab Coalition and the UN Security Council to engage the Southerners represented by the STC leadership in the U.N. brokered peace talks.

They also demanded the leaders of the free nations of the world to condemn the terrorist acts of the Islah pary, Yemen's Muslim Brotherhood and their military presence in the southern regions.
