The United Arab Emirates Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Sunday, it would continue to meet its obligation of offering aid to the Yemeni people, thus becoming one of the major humanitarian and development aid providers for the Yemen, the UAE news agency, WAM, has reported.

The Foreign Ministry also reaffirmed its support for the efforts exerted by the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, according to the UAE’s Foreign Ministry's Strategic Communications Manager, Hend Al Otaiba.

The ministry announced that the UAE will participate in the UN's 74th General Assembly meetings as a state resisting extremism and hatred.

The statement also pointed out that the UAE is not acting unilaterally, as its key objective is to enhance multilateral cooperation, and consolidate the role of international organizations, mainly the UN.
