 The Saudi cabinet, under the chairmanship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, hailed on Tuesday the joint statement issued between the Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates on Yemen.

The ministers underscored the statement that welcomed the compliance of the legitimate government of Yemen and Southern Transitional Council with Saudi Arabia’s call for dialogue.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have welcomed in their new joint statement, the response by the Legitimate Government of Yemen and the Southern Transitional Council, on the Kingdom’s call for dialogue, saying it was “a major and positive step” towards ending the recent crisis in the southern governorates of Yemen.

The spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council, Nazar Haitham tweeted that "the statement reflects the keenness of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to unite efforts towards peace, stability, partnership and a victory for the Arab project led by the Arab Coalition."
