Under the auspices of of the president of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidroos Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the STC local leadership of Aden held on Monday, an extended meeting in presence of members of the STC Presidency and representatives of the STC departments.
The meeting focused on necessary procedural means to deal with the recent developments, especially encountering the terrorist attacks and plots against the South, within the social frame in compliance with the efforts exerted by the Arab Coalition in the fight against terror, in coordination with the southern forces, in addition to coming up against the tendentious anti-UAE campaigns.
Memeber of the STC Presidency, Lutfi Shatara touched on the aggressiveness against the South which has recently been materialized by Fatwa (a religious verdict) to wage war against Southerners.
Shatara said that the offensive against the South started since the early days of unity (1990), indicating that the Southern Transitional Council was made to form a unified leadership to assume the responsibility of the South and introduce the southern just cause to the international community, which aroused the feelings of hostility among the enemies of the South and led them to wage a war against the Southerners with a view to destroying the STC by all military, media, religious and terrorist means.
Shatara made it clear that the state that uses militias and terrorist elements can not rule the people, the Southerners are at stake and the world has been formally convinced of our cause in a way that scares the legitimacy.
He said that whatever Yemen's government decides to do, we will continue our rational speech and defend our just cause and whatever it takes, we will affront all the tendentious campaigns against us, neither we nor the international community will allow the return of terrorism or turning the South into a haven for terrorists. We will do all we can to reinforce our position at the international level in order to build up a free of terrorism civil state for all the Southerners.
The meeting also highlighted the key role played by the United Arab Emirates in liberating the South from the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia and its generous support for the reconstruction of the liberated areas in addition to its major role in combating terrorism.
