The delegation of the Southern Transitional Council, headed by the president of the Council, commander Aidroos al-Zubaidi, held talks with Saudi Deputy Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman.
Prince Khalid praised the STC for accepting the Kingdom’s call for dialogue and its compliance with the Saudi-led Arab coalition's demand for a ceasefire. He underscored the need to resolve disputes through dialogue, work on uniting ranks to confront the Iran-backed Houthi militias and prevent Yemen from falling into the clutches of the Iranian regime.
Prince Khalid stressed the need to resolve the southern issue through dialogue, away from the use of force.
The STC delegation reaffirmed its participation in the Saudi-mediated talks with the legitimate government over the recent developments in Aden.
The STC delegation arrived in the Saudi city of Jeddah on Tuesday in response to the invitation of the Saudi Foreign Ministry, chaired by the president of the Council, Aidroos Al-Zubaidi and members of the STC Presidency, Dr. Nasser Al-Khabji, Ali Abdullah Al-Katheri, Abdul Rahman Sheikh al-Yafei and Eng. Adnan Elkaf.
