Head of the office of the Southern Transitional Council in Europe, Ahmed Omar Bin Fareed, hailed the rally as “a new beginning” for the people in the south and an opportunity to restart U.N.-brokered negotiations to address their political grievances.

“This is a spontaneous outpouring by the people,” Bin Fareed wrote on Twitter. “These voices calling for inclusion in a political process and the legitimate demand of self-determination must be listened to.”

Bin Farid made it clear that his job and all in the STC is to serve the will and demands of our people, adding "These voices will no longer be kept quiet or suppressed"

“We were, still are, and will remain a close ally to the Arab Coalition, believing in the mission of defeating the Iranian-Houthi project,” Bin Fareed tweeted.

“The dreams of those who wanted us to be something else will be shattered. Loyalty is our law and we fulfill our promises,” he added.
