The Southern Transitional Council conducted intense communication with a number of regional and international actors in order to convey the real situation in Aden, said the vice-president of the STC Department of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed al-Ghaiti.
Al-Ghaiti posted on his Facebook timeline that the move was taken to apprise the international community of the reality of the current situation in the city of Aden following heavy weapon attacks launched by Muslim Brotherhood-linked extremist forces under the umbrella of the legitimacy, referring to the presidential guard brigades and other armed militias.
He confirmed that targeting civilians and military personnel in addition to indiscriminate attacks against institutions and water tanks among others are considered as very dangerous escalations.
"Undoubtedly, the Southerners will defend themselves cause it is illogical to be exposed to unjustified attacks and violations." he added.
